Robert joined Alex Kaar in 2018 as a Principal, specialising in Accounting, Finance and Risk, spanning both professional and commercial sectors.
Robert commenced his professional career in the banking sector with National Australia Bank and over the next 18 years held various leadership roles across Finance, Pricing and Portfolio Management. Robert subsequently broadened his exposure to include the FMCG sector, before turning to his true passion of pursuing a career in recruitment, an industry where he can leverage his experience to assist others in achieving their optimum career outcomes.
Robert brings an engaging and energised approach to career management discussions, with an ability to empathise and provide expert advice and coaching on the importance of developing a powerful personal brand, value proposition and developing and cultivating networks. With experience at both an enterprise wide and business unit level, covering disciplines including group statutory and regulatory reporting, including M&A and delivery of business unit financials, Robert uses his commercial acumen to provide expert insights to his clients and candidates.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia and remains active in the Banking and Finance sector.
As father of 2 young children and a suffering Carlton supporter, Robert is passionate about contributing to the community through his active support in local schools and sporting clubs.
